Who We Are

Absolutely Better Cleaning has a team of ten professionals who work together to serve a large number of clients with our local cleaning services. We truly love what we do, and we look forward to bringing you a better cleaning at a better price. Your health and safety is our number one priority. All of our cleaners will arrive at your home with cleaning gloves and face masks.

Our Story

Hello and welcome! Our names are Lemuel and Debra Thompson, but you can call us Lem & Deb. We are the owners of Absolutely Better Cleaning. Our appreciation for cleaning came from our mothers, who both worked as housekeepers (Lem’s mother in North Carolina and Deb’s mom in Florida). We received specific training in professional cleaning services while working as full-time volunteers in Upstate New York. We learned how to provide an exceptional cleaning experience for people, and we’ve now been doing this for more than 20 years!

We heard consistent complaints about other cleaning companies in our conversations with people. Some of them had caught their cleaners stealing, and some cleaners never returned the client’s calls or bothered to show up. In May 2016, we established a cleaning company that set out to address these issues by 1) building an honest and trustworthy team 2) making certain to communicate consistently and 3) showing up and doing a great job. We started from ground zero and have grown to serve more than 500 clients through our local cleaning services, including commercial businesses and residential homes. 

Professional cleaning is important to us because we have seen it help our clients stay physically healthier and happier, which is now more important than ever! Our favorite aspect of our business is that feeling of instant satisfaction that we get when we step back and look around after a job.
